Do I need an account?

No. Sansa never asks you to sign up or log in. Open the app and step into a hall — that is all.

Is it free? Are there ads?

Yes, it is free. There are no ads, no purchases and no tracking.

Why does the chanting keep playing when my screen is off?

So you can keep sitting with your eyes closed or your phone in your pocket. You can pause or resume from the lock-screen controls, and stop it any time inside the app.

Who else is in the hall?

Up to 100 people can share a hall at once, each shown as a little monk. No one chats and no one is named — you simply see quiet movement and know others are sitting with you. The app shares only your monk's position and gestures while you are connected, and nothing is stored. See our Privacy Policy.

How do the reminders work?

You can set a gentle reminder to come and sit at a time that suits you. It fires as a local notification on your own device, in your own time zone.

The chanting is in Korean — can I change it?

The chanting audio stays in its original Korean. The app's menus and text are available in several languages, which you can choose in the app.
